Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be a second shooter?
Yes, there will be a second shooter at weddings and elopements. A second shooter is included in these packages.

Do you shoot destination weddings?
Yes, I do! I am always willing to travel and go on an adventure! I've shot photography and videography for weddings in Colorado, Arkansas and Iowa. I charge a flat rate for destination weddings in the United States. This rate will then be applied to the desired wedding or elopement package selected.
How do engagement sessions work?
1 hour - 50+ images - 2 outfits
We can go on any wild adventure you can think of. Check out my couples' portraits to find inspiration. I love to capture a couple's love story in certain places that are special to each other and to your relationship.

Do you charge for travel?
Yes, I do charge for travel. There will be a destination wedding travel fee if the wedding is a destination outside of Missouri. The fee is a flat fee rate of $1,500 which covers travel, flight (if necessary) and hotel. Additional mileage will be charged if the destination is more than 6 hours away. Otherwise, the mileage will be included in the flat fee rate.

*Destination wedding travel fee begins at $1,500 but is also dependent upon destination and venue location.

What is the wedding guide?
The wedding guide is a brochure full of tips and tricks for your engagement session, wedding day and other wedding details. The guide tells you how much time is needed for each photo op, includes wedding timeline help, details that are most important and includes a styles guide for engagement sessions. This is a complimentary brochure I like to send to my couples, to help them navigate and prepare for their engagement session or wedding day.

How many photos will I get and how do I get them?
The amount of photos depends on the time you use and the events of the day. The average amount is 100 photos for every one hour that we are photographing. The packages come with full download rights to all the photos. The galleries also have optional access to buy prints and albums. Usually galleries have 500 (elopements) - 1200 (full wedding) photos.

Do I have to order prints through you?
No, you do not have to order prints through me. I don't have albums and prints included in my packages for cost saving on your side. The digital gallery I send will have an option to buy prints but this is not mandatory. I recommend ordering albums from Artifact Uprising.

Can I add more hours or change the package?
Yes, extra hours or services can always be added but packages cannot be changed. You may always add services but never take away. This includes adding hours, sessions or an extra photographer, etc. Since all my packages come with a second shooter, for a third shooter the cost is $100 per hour. The packages are made with your best interest and my cost covered. They are all inclusive and cannot be changed.

How much is a retainer?
A retainer is 50% of your finalized total and is paid when you sign the contract and this will lock in your date. It is non-refundable due to you taking a date that I can no longer book and it pays for the corresponding time we agreed upon and client meetings.

What is considered an elopement?
An elopement would be considered under 20 guests, intimate ceremony and a small dinner. This can be local or a destination. This package can NOT be used for traditional weddings. This is for intimate ceremonies only.

Other Package Info
Each package has a certain hour amount for the time spent at the wedding. My minimum amount of hours is 5 for full wedding days. If you are worried it's not enough time you can add hours or pick the next package. The 8 hour package is the most popular option. We can discuss a timeline that might fit your wedding day to determine what hours you would like photographed. Client meetings are done close to the wedding day and we go over the finalized timeline, photo lists and family arrangements for photos. Your print release gives you the right to print any photos. The digital gallery is what holds all your digital edited images that you download and share from. The wedding day guide, printing and additional sessions are explained in the above FAQ.
